Put Shanaze Reade on a BMX, put her on a track bike, put her on a tricycle, and there will probably be only one outcome. This 19-year-old started out in athletics but, after falling in love with BMX aged 10 on the streets of Crewe, she has gone on to win five British championships (she was British senior women’s champion at 13), eight European and four World titles (two junior, two senior).
