Olympic BMX: Far from Beijing, a ‘half a bronze medal’

Mountain bike star Chausson wins first BMX gold

BMX postponed until Friday

bmx.jpgCyclist Sammy Cools will have to wait one more day for BMX to make its Olympic debut. A steady downpour washed out both the men’s and women’s semifinals and finals Thursday in bicycle motocross at the Laoshan Bicycle Cluster, so organizers put the inaugural gold-medal events back to Friday, when the weather forecast calls for sunshine.
