Ashley Fiolek, Motocross Racer - Honda
Red Bull athlete, Ashley Fiolek is tearing it up in womens motocross and getting the attention of mainstream media like USA Today and NY Times. Ashley began riding and racing motorcycles at age seven and worked her way up the amateur Motocross ranks. In 2004, at the age of 13, she won her first national championship at the Air Nautiques AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s. Between 2005 and 2007 she went on to win 12 more national championships and has won more than 100 races in her career so far. She recently won the 2008 AMA/WMA Championship.

WMA Cup Moves to Freestone County Raceway

The Women’s Motocross Association has announced the new location and date of the WMA Cup — the largest women’s motocross race in history. The sixth annual WMA Cup will take place at Freestone County Raceway, in Wortham, Texas, over the weekend of January 2-4, 2009, and will be run on the “National track” in conjunction with Freestone’s first-ever motocross amateur national event. Yamaha girls dominate QLD Natural Terrain Motocross

Riders, Tamara Gray and Brooke Thiemann stood one, two on the podium after the dust settled on the 2008 QLD Women’s Natural Terrain Motocross Championships at Mundubbera over the weekend.

American Honda’s Ashley Fiolek Featured on Page Four of the New York Times

Recently crowned AMA/WMA Champion, 17-year-old Ashley Fiolek, is featured in today’s New York Times. The New York Times, the largest metropolitan newspaper in the United States with circulation of 1.5 million, has been following Ashley since the ESPN X Games in August. Working with WMA President, Miki Keller, the newspaper sent a video and feature editor to the final round of the AMA/WMA Motocross Championship at Steel City Raceway in Pittsburgh, PA where they spent two days covering Ashley and the sport of professional women’s motocross.
