Mulanovich Regains First Place WCT Ranking, Tour Heads to Peru and Her Home Break

Powered by consistently strong surfing, pro surfer Sofia Mulanovich stands back on top of the Association of Surfing Professionals 2008 Women’s World Championship Tour ratings following her performance at the Beachley Classic. The Beachley Classic, stop number five of eight on the tour where Mulanovich placed third, was held at Manly Beach, Australia from October 9-13, 2008.

2008 Elusive Welsh Open finals one of the best the UK Pro Surf Tour has had to date

In the Women’s division it was incredibly close throughout the final. But eventually Kathleen Spears (Croyde) managed to pick up the best wave of the heat in the dying seconds to score 7.0 and take the win. Second place went to English Women’s Champion Holly Donnelly (Newquay), Third to Australian Raine Jackson and fourth Bournemouth Surfer Jenny Horbas.

Teen Wright wins classic and place in history

Tyler Wright skips school for $30,000 surfing payout

Teenager Tyler Wright was supposed to return from holidays to her high school on the NSW south coast yesterday. Instead she was in Sydney creating surfing history and pocketing nearly $30,000 by winning the Beachley Classic at Manly Beach.
