The Discovery Coast – not the Gold or Sunshine Coasts will host the next longboard tournament on Surfing Queensland’s 2008 events calendar. In the past decade the Discovery Coast, which stretches from Yeppoon to Bundaberg, has flourished with the steady arrival of surfers who have been drawn by the waves surrounding 1770 and its southern neighbour Agnes Water.
