Kaua‘i’s Nage Melamed edged out fellow local girl Brianna Cope and three other girls to win the Rip Curl GromSearch’s Girls 16 and Under division over the weekend at Huntington Beach, California. This is the third stop for the grom search. This win comes just a little more than a week after Melamed captured the Hawai‘i Amateur Surfing Association state championship in the Girls 17 and Under division.
