First contest in for Queen of Wake and Pro circuit for 2008
The heats were stacked — so many good riders this year. Dallas Friday and Nicola Butler were in my heat. Nicola and I rode really well and progressed through to the finals, which was an upset for Dallas Friday. I am sure she is going to come back at the next stop with all guns a-blazin’!
With Dallas Friday and Emily Copeland not making finals, it really felt weird. Not like a final, that’s for sure. Came to my ride in finals and I totally had a shocker. I fell first trick, then on the transfer and again trying to redeem myself with a whirly. It definitely was not my day.

Nicola Butler rode strong, landing her mobedick, batwing, heel 5, and came out on top, Laura Lohrmann took 2nd with clean rails and her wrapped KGB, with Barrett Pearlman taking 3rd and stomping the transfer box.
